Answers to common questions.
Everything doctors, students, hospitals, and medical schools typically ask before starting with MedBiCare.
The platform
What exactly is MedBiCare?
MedBiCare is an AI-powered clinical decision-support platform. It uses 24 ABMS-certified specialist AI agents that work in parallel — a virtual multidisciplinary team — to produce ranked, ICD-11 coded differential diagnoses, red-flag alerts, investigation plans, and safe prescriptions.
How is it different from ChatGPT or general medical AI?
General AI chatbots are single generic models. MedBiCare routes every case through up to 6 board-certified specialists (Cardiology, Neurology, ID, etc.), then a Chief Orchestrator consolidates their views into one structured report. Every recommendation is ICD-11 coded and shows its rationale.
Is it a medical device?
MedBiCare is a clinical decision-support tool, not a certified medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe autonomously. The treating clinician retains full clinical responsibility.
Safety & clinical governance
How does MedBiCare handle emergencies?
Two layers. First, a deterministic rule-based engine checks vital signs against thresholds for sepsis, MI, stroke, DKA, and PE — this runs before the AI. Second, the specialist agents themselves flag pattern-based red flags. Escalation is always surfaced at the top of the report.
What about pediatric and pregnant patients?
Pediatric cases automatically use weight-based (mg/kg) dosing with adult-dose capping, plus neonatal gestational-age adjustments. Obstetric cases run teratogenicity and trimester-specific safety checks on every recommended medication.
Can I override the AI's suggestions?
Always. Every output is a recommendation. You edit, remove, or replace anything before it reaches a patient. The audit trail records what you accepted and what you changed.
Data, privacy & security
How is patient data protected?
All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Every account requires 2FA. Cases are scoped to the author (and, on institutional plans, designated admins). Every access is logged. See our Security page for details.
Where is data hosted?
MedBiCare runs on reputable cloud infrastructure with hardened networking and regular backups. Institutional customers can discuss data-residency options during procurement.
Are you HIPAA / GDPR / SOC 2 certified?
Not currently. Our data-handling is designed to align with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019. Institutional customers can request a DPA. If certification is a procurement requirement, contact us.
Pricing & plans
Is there a free trial?
Yes — a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. You get access to all 24 specialists during the trial.
How does student verification work?
Sign up with your medical-school email address; we verify against known institutional domains and, where needed, ask for a student ID.
What payment methods do you accept?
M-Pesa, Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, and DPO. Institutional invoicing is available for hospitals and medical schools.
Access & rollout
Do I need to install anything?
No. MedBiCare is web-based and runs in any modern browser on phone, tablet, or desktop.
Can my hospital roll it out to a whole department?
Yes. Hospital plans support bulk seat provisioning, SSO, admin dashboards, and per-clinician usage analytics. Book a demo from our For Hospitals page.
Do you offer onboarding and training?
Yes — institutional plans include live onboarding, faculty/clinician training sessions, and priority support with an SLA.
